It’s kinda funny to combine abstract expressionism with a strict grid. Those two things don’t typically go together. But here it looks totally natural, the rigid type and the wild drawing by de Kooning. That’s how good Jackie Casey was. She could combine chocolate and peanut butter to make sweet lemonade. One of our favorites by one of our favorites.
