Ein Tag mit Ronchamp (Emil Ruder)
At the end of Prof. Toshi Katayama’s Graphic Design Class at Harvard University, Prof. Toshi Katayama tell’s a story about visiting Le Corbusier’s Chapel of Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp, France, and a chance encounter there that brought him to live in Cambridge and teach at Harvard for decades. This is Toshi’s copy of the Emil Ruder-designed monograph about the chapel. Loaded with stunning photographs of this moving structure, the typography is so crystal clear that we forgot to take many pics of it. Ruder stayed out of the way and let the photos do the heavy lifting. A lovely book, with a great story and provenance.
