Fritz Henle Fotografo (Lorenzo Homar)
Fritz Henle was a master of the square-format Rolleiflex camera—and, apparently, he was the fist classic freelance photographer. Born in Germany, he became a U.S. citizen in 1942 and had a show of photos in San Juan in 1971. This is the poster by Lorenzo Homar, about whom Poster House writes: “Lorenzo Homar was a pioneering printmaker, poster designer, calligrapher, painter, illustrator, caricaturist, and costume and theatrical set designer. Active from the 1950s through the 1990s, few equal his impact and influence as a teacher of poster design and printmaking in Latin America.” This is one of those pioneering posters.
