What were graphic designers in Japan thinking about and looking at in the summer of 1984? There’s only one way to know: Look in an issue of graphic design from the summer of 1984. The English table of contents will give some clues, but we apparently forgot to take a picture of it. We see "Toawards an International Symbology,” articles on Katzumie masaru, a review of travel guides by Richard Saul Wurman, and more. And the cover was designed by Ikko Tanaka.
