IMDB describes the 1959 movie by Luis A. Maisonet for which this poster was made as “a melodramatic romance that tells the story of a community that shuns the arrival of a new neighbor.” Boy. That seems timely. And this silkscreen poster by Jose Melendez Contreras is timeless. A total beauty that seems to have escaped the printshop without being trimmed down as the margins are excessively large.
