Janson: A Definitive Collection
What can one say about the definitive book about Janson types? It already says it all—and shows it all. Set in Stempel Janson with facsimiles of historic settings and specimens and contemporary settings of Janson (again, Stempel) in 8-point through 36-point. And on top of that are settings of revivals of Janson, including Linotype Janson, Lanston Janson, Ehrhardt, and Van Dijck. A beautiful and useful book, inscribed by the author/printer to a young printer in 1966. Delicious—and nutritious.
