Jazz Festival WIllisau (Niklaus Troxler)

Here’s a swooner. It’s a poster for the Jazz Festival Willisau 97, designed by Swiss graphic designer Niklaus Troxler in (you guessed it) 1997. From across the room, it looks like the sheet is loaded with random black marks and just the right amount of white space and a little red type. Look closer: Those random black marks are alive.
