What a hassle it was way back in 1966 when a student wanted to reprint some text for a school project. Aspiring designer Howard I. Gralla had to deal with all this back-and-forth in order to print a few words by D.B. Updike that had previously been published by Harvard University Press forty years earlier. The good thing, though, is that he gathered two handsome letterheads from HUP (and one unremarkable application for permission). A close look at the Press seal is giving serious Ruzicka vibes, but we can’t confirm that it might have come from Rudolph’s pen. A pen that did touch these sheets, though, was that of Grace A. Briggs, principal contact with foreign agents and commission salesmen. (That’s all we could find out about her.)
