Méridien gras [+] Méridien demi-gras

$80.00

Adrian Frutiger’s Méridien was released by Deberny & Peignot in 1955 for its phototypesetting system. Intended as a typeface suitable for text use, it takes inspiration from “Latin” or wedge-serif typefaces, with their sharp, exaggerated serifs, but in a more restrained style intended to be suitable for body text, with a wide spacing. These 4-page specimens designed by Rémy Peignot for the bold and semi-bold weights are lovely showings of a face we wouldn’t mind seeing more of.
