When one works on books about slabs, stencils, shadows, and scripts, one needs a lot of examples around. Like, when Louise Fili was working on Scripts, she picked up this ad for French papermaker Louis Muller & Sons’s Ruskin sheet. Check that leopard! And spot that spotted script below! A neat thing from the collection of Louise Fili—and this is the very item reproduced on pages 58 and 59 of Scripts. Historic!
