The Age of the Auto (Lester Beall)

$100.00

In 1960 The Composing Room of 130 West 46th Street in N.Y.C. worked with Der Druckspiegel and a handful of American designers at the forefront of the bleed edge of the experimental downtown vanguard presented four 16-page booklets showing off what could be done with type and illustration and the latest technology which consisted of “cutting” and “pasting”—by which we mean literally cutting things and pasting things. This is the third in that series. The Age of the Auto covers the age of the auto as observed by Lester Beall. Weirdly scarce.
