The Crow Captain’s Song (Charles Bigelow)

$250.00

Charles Bigelow is always surprising us. Who knew he was not just a type designer but also a poet and artist? Here’s a book from his youth, printed by him from Sabon and Syntax types. And there are woodcuts and photoengravings and these three plexiglass things. Also nice is that it includes a nice long inscription so we get to see his italic hand at work. A nicely produced book.

Very good with minor bump to lower right corner. Signed and numbered on the colophon and with a nice long inscription on the half title (although we were taught that it’s called a bastard title because it comes out of nowhere like a bastard).
