The History of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement (Roger Pfund)
We were once told that 80% of donations to the Red Cross went to administrative costs. That sounded fishy, so we looked it up. At the time it was 8%. Right now it’s between 9% and 10%. Watchdogs generally expect no more than 25% to 35% for combined administrative and fundraising expenses. Now that we’ve cleared that up, check out this dramatic poster for the Red Cross Museum and a show about its history. With a photo by Burk Uzzle and design by Roger Pfund), this one can’t help but create a pause. And if you get this directly from us and not a third-party site, we’ll pause and send $100 to the Red Cross.
