Twelve Persons in Graphic Design Today (3-volumes)
Between 1969 and 1973, there was a 7-volume series titled Graphic Designers in U.S.A. and Graphic Designers in Europe. They profiled a total of twenty-eight designers. These books were published at the same time in Japan. (We have three volumes of the Japanese edition in case you want the cooler version.) At roughly the same time (1968–1969) a complementary set covering twelve Japanese designers was published. This is them. They’ve got work by Gan Hosoya, Kiyoshi Awazu, Ikko Tanaka, Makoto Wada, Akira Uno, Kazumasa Nagai, Shigeo Fukuda, Isao Hosoe, Yoshitaro Isaka, Tsunehisa Kimura, Tadanori Yokoo, and Toshihiro Katayama. This set belonged to Toshi Katayama. So that’s cool. And you’d be cool(er) if you got this.
