Typografische Monatsblätter (11.1976)

So many issues of Typografische Monatsblätter are largely filled with technical stuff in German and French that are completely uninteresting and not the least bit useful. But even in those completely-uninteresting and not-the-least-bit-useful issues there is a section about design and typography. This one has a handsome section dedicated to Kurt Gschwend's tribute to Max Caflisch on his 60th birthday, Roger Chatelain's overview of teaching monumental capitals to pictograms, and technical training at the Technikum Grafisches Gewerbe (TGZ) Zurich. The whole thing is mostly in foreign languages so you probably won’t be able to read it, but you can look at it for a lifetime—especially the striking cover by Heinrich Fleischhacker.
