Typografische Monatsblätter (12.1976)

So many issues of Typografische Monatsblätter are largely filled with technical stuff in German and French that are completely uninteresting and not the least bit useful. But even in those completely-uninteresting and not-the-least-bit-useful issues there is a section about design and typography. This one has a handsome section dedicated to a major feature on Wolfgang Weingart presenting a selection of his work from 1969 to 1976 along with personal commentary and reflection, as well as Roger Chatelain's second part on the evolution from monumental capitals to pictograms. The whole thing is mostly in foreign languages so you probably won’t be able to read it, but you can look at it for a lifetime—especially the striking cover by Wolfgang Weingart.
