Typografische Monatsblätter (8/9.1974)

So many issues of Typografische Monatsblätter are largely filled with technical stuff in German and French that are completely uninteresting and not the least bit useful. But even in those completely-uninteresting and not-the-least-bit-useful issues there is a section about design and typography. This one has a handsome section dedicated to a comprehensive profile on Canadians Gottschalk + Ash Limited and an essay by Adrian Frutiger on the type designer’s responsibility toward the reader’s subconscious. The whole thing is mostly in German and French so you probably won’t be able to read it, but you can look at it for a lifetime—especially the striking cover by Gottschalk + Ash.
