Distributed as a folding supplement to Typographische Monatsblätter, this call for entries details the international competition to design covers for the eighteen issues published across 1975 and 1976. Designed by Wolfgang Weingart, the sheet presents specs in German, French, and English, setting wicked precise rules and requirements alongside sample concepts. Entrants were invited to visualize abstract communication concepts or symbol systems within a standardized grid, with winning designs awarded 200 Swiss francs (which is maybe $400 today) and selected for publication.
