Visual Design in Action
Published in 1961, Ladislav Sutnar’s Visual Design in Action is one of the most groundbreaking books on modern graphic design. We swiped that sentence from the description of the recent facsimile. This is not the facsimile, though. It’s the rarely-seen original—in exceptional condition, inscribed by Sutnar’s son, Rad. Visual Design in Action illustrates the power of design and features astonishingly contemporary graphics, advertisements and corporate identities for renowned brands. (We swiped that sentence, too.) This is a seriously stunning, useful, and inspirational book. So good. So good. So good. And this is the nicest copy we’ve ever seen.
