was ich gemacht habe und mache (Wolfgang Weingart)
It’s 1969. Twenty-eight-year-old Wolfgang Weingart is in his second year as a teacher of typography at the Basel School of Design. He’s making prints and posters and photographs. He’s got an exhibition of his work and this piece declares what he’s done and what he is doing. It is, more or less, a typographic biography. A strikingly badass sheet of paper from the collection of Inge Druckrey. Scarce.
- Artist: Wolfgang Weingart
- Size: 19.5 × 19.5 inches
- Medium: Letterpress
- Condition: Some creases, minor smudges, and small dog ears. There is an interesting pattern of unknown origin that’s worked itself into the paper. Verso has rock-hard masking tape which had been used to post this poster. Best to leave as-is or get a pro to tend to it.
