Westmont Enamel

When one works on books about slabs, stencils, shadows, and scripts, one needs a lot of examples around. Like, when Louise Fili was working on Scripts, she picked up this ad for Westvaco’s Westmont Enamel designed by Gustav Jensen. (Incidentally, we just got a book with some Jensen alphabets. We love it. Stay tuned.) Anyway, here’s a crazy script with a tiny price list at the bottom. From the collection of Louise Fili—and this is the very item reproduced on page 299 of Scripts. Historic!
