Animal Symbols
Animals keep finding their way in here. Tragically, we are always without treats to give them and so they probably don’t really enjoy their time here. (This reminds us that there’s a bar of chocolate in the fridge at home.) Anyway, animal books are finding their way here, too. Off the tops of our heads we can think of this one. And this one has tons of animals. And this one, birds. And there’s a beautiful book here about a dog with these amazing photos of a puppy that is so cute one can’t help but want to wub its widdle bewwy. But the present book is about animals as used as graphic symbols for commerce (or identifying nonprofits and people). Each designed by British designer Phil Cleaver, there will be some you recognize and some you don’t. And it also includes some of his non-animal marks—like the one he did for Visa. Anyway (again) a nice thing. [Here come our parents. Must cut this short.]
