Celestino Piatti: Everything I Paint Has Eyes

We’re expecting this book any day now and think it’s gonna be a winner. How could it not be? Celestino Piatti was so good. He designed more than 500 posters and 6,000 book covers, mainly for the dtv publishing house. His graphic renderings of emotions and his imaginative images have marked the visual memory of several generations and still make a lively impact today.

With a wealth of iconic works as well as finds from the family’s private archive unpublished to date, this book tells the story of a designer obsessed by his profession. It outlines Piatti’s artistic career and highlights the extraordinary diversity of his oeuvre. Individual works are commented on and contextualized by some of Piatti’s companions and by graphic experts of today.

We. Can’t. Wait. But you’ll have to. This book is presently available for pre-order only.
