Layout in Advertising (Revised Edition)

$60.00
William Addison Dwiggins was born in Martinsville, Ohio, in 1880. As a young man he studied lettering with Fred Goudy (which we don’t hold against him) at the Frank Holm School in Chicago. The title of this manual, Layout in Advertising, clearly states what it’s about—but it’s not just about advertising. That would be crass. It covers the design of booklets, newspapers, letterheads, signs, calendars, and blotters. Although first published almost 100 years ago, so much of the basic principles illustrated by Dwiggins still hold true. An invaluable resource and it’s full of delightful illustrations which, um, illustrate how to get things done.
