Zeichen, Schrift und Ornament (Signs, Scripts and Ornaments)
When people come in and ask about our favorite book, this is the one we pull from the shelves to show them. It’s essentially a grammar of ornament—and it is seriously one of the most awesome books we have every offered. There is so much remarkable visual information here. And there’s a lot to steal from this book. True to its name, it is loaded with graphic symbols, handsome lettering, and page after page of ornamental patterns. We simply can’t say enough good things about this book. We’re not educators, but we give this one an A+++. Guaranteed to make your heart beat a little faster—and if it doesn’t, give it to someone with a heart. (In which case they might also like this.)
