From Helvetica to Haas Unica

$48.00
Team ’77, under contract to the Haas Typefoundry and in close collaboration with it, examined the original version of Helvetica with regard to its qualities of form and readability, and with reference to the then-new technological conditions of phototypesetting. They worked out a research project for the redesign of the typeface introduced twenty years earlier, compared all existing versions of Helvetica in great detail, and proposed possible changes. This is their report and their plan for a new version: Haas Unica. A fascinating thing and a showing of what people did before they wasted time on the Internet.
