IBM Sign Standards
The objectives of the IBM Sign Program are to support IBM’s corporate identity, provide a unifying corporate identity, maintain consistent design integrity, and maintain a viable corporate program. Not mentioned (weirdly) is that they wanted to help people get around and understand where they were going. Still, this document is a thorough showing of how to make a sign the IBM Way. It is also a good model of what a manual for graphic standards can and should be: Clear and exhaustive without being exhausting.
