In 2016, the Signe—Centre national du Graphisme in Chaumont—commissioned Patrick Lindsay to make “Le Lumigraphe”, an interactive installation comprising a set of elements, etched and cut in transparent tinted plexiglass. Somewhere between a puzzle and a mechanism, these units allow for an infinity of combinations. Based on superposition, rotation, and light, the “Lumigraphe” explored the moving image, where colors merge and wefts create optical illusions. Très neat.
